August sales growth in the global chip market

Terra Securities ASA analyst Bruce Diesen, today announced that in August 2007 average of global chip sales in March from Julys 20.6 billion U.S. dollars climbed to 21.45 billion U.S. dollars. However, Diesen highlighted that unadjusted sales in August grew 4.8% over the previous year, while in July the previous year growth of 11.3%. P>
Diesen said, PC, automotive, LCD TV chip sales were strong and BAS16 datasheet and higher memory prices have contributed to the growth in chip sales in August. P>
Diesen said, "Compared with a year earlier, in August the number of semiconductors increased by 12% in July year on year increase of 15%. In 2007 global chip sales growth of 3%, followed by 2008 is expected to grow 9%. expects the global mobile phone sales in 2007 increased by 14 %." P>
