Fujitsu Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. today announced a highly integrated WiMAX SoC - MB87M3400. The chip meet the IEEE802.16-2004 standard for base stations and EPM7160ELC84-20 datasheet and users to promote the construction of the access point to create the conditions to-the-horizon transmission without direct access to the remote base station. MB87M3400 SoC targeted at broadband wireless access (BWA) equipment to be licensed or license-free frequency bands below 11GHz base stations and EPM7160ELC84-20 price and customer service station applications. MB87M3400 SoC is used in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) 256 physical layer (PHY), which supports the physical layer between 1.75MHz to 20MHz channel mode in time division duplex (TDD) and EPM7160ELC84-20 suppliers and Frequency Division duplex mode (FDD) to work, support for all available channel bandwidth. A programmable frequency selection can be set for any desired bandwidth of the sampling clock. In a 20MHz channel if the use of 64 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), and using all 192 sub-carriers, the SoC can sustain peak rates of up to 75Mps the original, but can also support the uplink sub-channelization. Fujitsu WiMAX SoC incorporates sophisticated processing power, including a powerful main reduced instruction set (RISC) engine, the engine is running a media access control (MAC) upper layer, scheduler, drivers, protocol stacks, and user applications. WiMAX SoC also integrates a complementary reduced instruction set (RISC) / digital signal processor (DSP), its role as a co-processor, the implementation of media access control (MAC) function of the lower, for the media access Control (MAC) split the upper part of the data processing to improve overall system performance. WiMAX System A multi-channel direct memory access (DMA) controller in a high-performance media for high-speed bus operation information to be addressed. Fujitsu WiMAX SoC also incorporates radio control and all required analog circuits, along with a complete set of integrated peripheral functions. To ensure safety, MB87M3400 system 802.16 (MAC) security sub-layer adopts the Data Encryption Standard / Advanced Encryption Standard / Counter Mode (DES / AES / CCM) encryption / decryption engine. The chip also includes a memory controller, an Ethernet engine for network interface and a flexible baseband interface for high-performance digital to analog converter (DAC) / D converter (ADC). B87M3400 system chip 436-pin ball grid package (BGA), are currently available. 1,000 starting price is 45 dollars (for reference). The market can also buy a complete reference design, including a system all the necessary hardware and software solutions. Reference design can be obtained from the WiMAX Forum valid certificate.
